Glasgow Startup Weekend Cancelled / Postponed
I am sorry to announce that we are going to have to cancel, or at lest postpone, the Glasgow Startup Weekend. This is due to a combination of severe venue difficulties and a disappointing number of sign-ups.
We hope to try again in the spring.

The sponsorship page, with prices in £s, is now live. With sponsorship starting at £ 300 for the Gold package, it is a very cost effective way of getting your name in front of some of Scotland’s most enterprising entrepreneurs.

Announcing Glasgow Startup Weekend 2010
Startup Weekend comes to Glasgow from 27-29 August, challenging Scotland’s entrepreneurs to create, develop and launch a startup in just one weekend.
Anyone with a business idea is invited to come along and pitch on the Friday night, with the top 10 ideas selected and invited to go forward. People from technical and non technical backgrounds including entrepreneurs, managers, marketers, graphic designers, lawyers and developers are welcome to take part.
Hosted by EdgeCase and Glasgow Caledonian University, Startup Weekend offers delegates a real hands on education in entrepreneurship, with advice provided by professional mentors and their peer group throughout the three day event.
The weekend will be spent with participants designing everything from mission, target market and go-to market strategies, right up to building a proof of concept, demo or even a finished product for a full presentation to their peers on Sunday evening.
